Defibrillator Training

Defibrillator Training

What is it?

This half-day Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training course is designed to be informative, enjoyable, and confidence-building, equipping participants with a vital, potentially life-saving skill.

AEDs are the only effective treatment for cardiac arrest, with early defibrillation significantly improving survival rates.

  • Survival declines by 7–10% per minute without defibrillation.

  • Basic life support (BLS) helps sustain a shockable rhythm but does not replace defibrillation.

This course combines essential theory with hands-on practical sessions, ensuring participants are fully prepared to act in an emergency.

Why do we need it?

If your workplace has or is planning to install an on-site defibrillator, training is highly recommended to ensure confident and effective use.

Course outline:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • AED Introduction and Theory

  • AED Demonstration

  • Practical AED Workshop

  • Combined AED and BLS Workshops

When should we do it?

It’s essential to ensure your team is always prepared and confident in using an AED.

We recommend:

  • Providing training as soon as a defibrillator is introduced to the workplace.

  • Conducting training whenever a new team member joins, especially if they are a designated first aider.

  • Scheduling refresher courses regularly to maintain knowledge and confidence—typically every 12 months or sooner if needed.

Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance upon completion, boosting your workplace’s readiness and compliance.
